I love the sounds in the GDEC3 and I want to use the amp for gigging. However it is more than a little time consuming! Even with the 4 switch foot pedal that is recommended it still requires much switch pushing to move from say setting 2 to setting 10. Does anyone have any ideas as to how that kind of sound change can be made easier? Will the amp accept midi changes through the usb port?

Hey Steve,

The G-DEC can't recieve MIDI commands through USB. Have you tried using the QA (Quick Access) feature. This allows you to quickly switch between any 3 presets.
To assign a QA preset, press the Quick Access button. Then press and hold a QA1, QA2 or QA3 soft key while turning the encoder knob to the desired preset. Hope that helps.

I know about the QA feature. It still only allows me three settings and I normally work with ten, using a CyberTwin. Is there any chance we might see midi access in later versions of the Firmware?

There are currently no plans for MIDI through USB on the G-DEC 3. You might want to try organizing your presets on the amp in the order that you want to play them. This is easy to do in Fender FUSE.

My gigs change from night to night, and over the course of four sets I move around the playlist a lot. So storing them in a list like that would probably confuse the hell out of me!

Almost true. It's slightly easier in Fuse than on the amp's front panel, but as others have said it would be outstanding to have a drag-and-drop interface for organizing presets.

I'd love to completely re-order all the presets, deleting some, moving others around, with favorites up top, but I haven't found a way to do it easily. As best I can tell, you have to pick a preset and save it to another position, overwriting whatever was in that slot - basically what you can do from the front panel. Am I missing some feature of the software that makes that easier?
