So I played a show in GA and thought I would give the G-Dec 3 30 a shot. The lead guitar player showed up with a 30 watt Carr tube amp. I was at 8 and just barely not loud enough, which worked with the show. Had I been cranked to max I think it would have been as loud as the lead picker.

So now we have another show in SC next week. I got the foot controller and a Ernie Ball VP Jr. volume control. I have also hooked the G-Dec to my 400 watt powered Pa speaker with a 12 inch speaker and tweeter. HOLY G String! I have way more power than I need and the bass could knock you down. It is pretty amazing. With the foot switch I can switch presets from song to song. So I have my preset for the songs in the set list in order and I can just click a button on foot controller to get to the preset for each specific song. Very cool. Also the tuner on the foot controller is great! I would have had to pay more just for a decent tuner stomp box than I paid for the whole ULT-4 controller. I'm also anxious to use it to record loops.

I have a 1972 Music Man 212HD in the basement but I really want to try and make the G-dec gigable. So far so good!

Do you have each "set" on a different card?

I have an SD card with the backing tracks for each song. Then preset 00 to 08 corresponds with the set list. The new foot controller is the cats meow. And once again the tuner feature in the foot pedal is worth the price of the whole thing. Why now volume pedal on that board though? It could be a volume pedal and control wah. HEY, that's a good question, can I control the wah in the amp with a foot pedal?

Unfortunately you can't control effects using an expression pedal.
