Quick Question. Finally picked up my new G-dec 3 fifteen in th UK. I am very impressed. I have only been playing for a short while and would like to record my playing.
I have installed the ableton software that came with the amp and have also installed the Fender ASIO software.

When I launch the Ableton software and go into the options/preferences i can see that the driver type is ASIO and that the audio device is Fender Universal ASIO but when I click the hardware setup button I dont see the USB option, only my internal sound card.

I am running Windows 7.

Anyone any ideas why I can see the USB option ( that is shown in the G-Dec video on the CD that came with the Amp??

is there a way to adjust the input level into Ableton or the output level of the Amp? it is very quiet when trying to record in Ableton.

There are several YouTubes on getting around Ableton's DAW.

Good luck!

What is the capacity for the SD cards - 32GB?

Have you figured out a way to adjusting the input level? Im have the same issue with cubase. I have been useing the headphone out into a M-Audio interface. I have the G-dec 15. The 30 has out puts in the back that you can adjust but you still have to take to a interface. I'm not really sure what good the USB cable is I can not change presets with it because my system crashes and I do not thing anybody could record with it because of the input level into a DAW.

Derrick,

No I have never figured it out yet but to be honest I have not given it much time. I am only a beginner ( only been playing 8 odd months) so i was only just messing about with it. Its probably not something I will ever use....at least not for a long time ! For the record, I was ONLY using the USB ( and that took a bit of messing about.....but is settled now) and not the headphones or anything else. Mine is a 15 also.

I also very rarely use the Fuse either. I have just set up a clean sound and always use that for practicing ! Guess I might play with it more in the future !

If you work it out I would be interested.

Hey Guys,

Just a few quick answers for you.

There is no input level control but the Band Level knob does control the output level of the computer going back into the amp. Some people use the volume knob on their guitar to adjust the level sent to the computer.

The maximum supported size of SD Cards is 8GB SDHC. This may be increased soon but for now it's 8GB.

Derrick, you mentioned your computer crashing. Is there anything specific that you have to do to make it crash or is it intermittent? What are your system specs?
