I've been loading backing tracks to G-DEC 30 amps for years now without too much trouble. I found out early on that if you have loaded a bunch of tracks and then decide you want to start deleting some of them, you are better off to just do a Factory Restore and start over. Most of the time when you delete songs, you don't get back the memory those songs were using. I have even deleted songs and found that my percentage of used space had gone UP after the deletion.

This afternoon, getting ready for a gig tomorrow night, I pulled out a G-DEC that I normally use for old-time performances. It had 45 backing track songs in it, but I needed about 12 out and another 10 in. I proceeded to manually delete the 12 songs I didn't want and then started loading the new songs. I'd been watching the % of memory as I went and I wasn't gaining much, but decided to go ahead and load the new songs anyway.

I had loaded about four new songs when I got the not so bad "the amp has canceled..." error message, something I've seen a couple hundred times in the last two years. But when I turned the amp off and back on and went to my song list, I found numbers with no names by them, something I had never seen before. I started loading another song and then got no response from the amp. When I looked at the readout on the amp it said "Your play list is corrupted..."

The amp would do nothing then as far as backing tracks was concerned, so I just turned it off, on and then did my Factory Restore and started all over. I just finished loading 46 songs without incident, so I guess all is well, but I think in the future I'll stick to Factory Restore every time and not mess with individual deletions.

Anyone else had experiences like this?
