I bought my son a DIGITECH 355 foot switch that has alot of programmed effects and a wah pedal. He says that it doesn't work right with his G-Dec 30. He says it works perfectly with a friends amp that has no effects features like the G-DEC. Can the G-DEC bypass all the internal stuff so that the Digitech works without any interference?? PLEASE HELP! My son is making a plea for a new amp!

Hi jamewn,

Thanks for your inquiry. I don't know if the Digitech 355 pedal is compatible with the Fender G-DEC 3. I will pass this information along to one of our engineers and post more information ASAP.

Thanks for your patience while I get this information for you.

Hi jamewn,

I wanted to confirm. Is your son using the Fender G-DEC, or the Fender G-DEC 3? And is he trying to control the amp with MIDI from the pedal? Or is this strictly an effects pedal?

Neither myself or the engineer here that I spoke with are familiar with that particular pedal. So, if you can clarify these questions for us, we can provide you with a more specific response.

Thanks very much. Have a great weekend.

My son has a G-DEC 30 amp , not a G-DEC 3. The pedal is a Digitech 355 effects foot box with a wah pedal and 3 switches. It is not a midi setup, just the foot box. He says it doesn't perform properly..that is that the sound of the effects are messed up. I aksed him to make sure that the FX feature of the amp is bypassed and he told me he thought it was. He believes that the amp presset feature of the G-DEC also must somehow interfere with the effects produced from the Digitech. He also has a G-DEC junior that he claims has the same issue with the Digitech. The problem I have is that I am not familiar with the operation of any of this equipment...therefore I am appealling to you as my authority for this.
