I have multiple computers I use. Basically a laptop and tower. I was curious if I could install Ableton and AmpliTube on both or more computers?

I wasn't sure due to piracy issues and all, and some companies being stricter with user licenses. If I can only install on one computer, I want to make sure it's the right choice for me.

Thanks!

Hey bluesdelux,

The EULA for AmpliTube Fender LE states that you can have the software installed on up to three computers at a time as long as only one instance of AmpliTube Fender LE is running at any one time. In order to run it on more than one machine you must get more authorization codes via the Authorization Wizard that appears when you load up AmpliTube Fender LE, or by connecting to the IK User Area > Authorizations on http://www.ikmultimedia.com.

As far as Ableton Live Lite 8 Fender Edition is concerned, you can install your copy on two computers at once but you can only run one instance of Live at a time. There are no other authorizations to obtain. Just install the app and use the same serial to register on the second computer.

It seems there is a little confusion over how the third party apps that are included with the amp integrate into the workflow of the amp itself.

The Fender G-DEC 3 is, among many things, a USB audio interface. This allows AmpliTube Fender, Hendrix, or any other ASIO compatible audio program such as Ableton Live or Cubase to record and playback audio through the amp. Therefore, the IK Multimedia products you already own will work just fine with the G-DEC 3 once you install the Fender ASIO driver.

Fender FUSE, on the other hand is basically a preset editor for the G-DEC 3. The closest it comes to passing or processing any kind of audio is when you use it to import a Band Track to the amp. It won't work in conjunction with any other software or hardware besides the amp.

Hi bluesdelux,

My name is Alan. I am in the Fender TSL with Loren. He is out of the office for the afternoon. I wanted to follow up on your question regarding Fender FUSE and multiple installations. The anwser is yes, you can install Fender FUSE on multiple computers without restrictions. Of course, you can only use one at a time, unless you own/buy more than one Fender G-DEC 3.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Alan Willey

Hi, what is the recording saoftware that came with the unit. The only ones I could find had to be paid for, other than the demos.

Hi mavrik6050,

The Fender G-DEC 3 comes with Fender FUSE Editor software, as well as Ableton Live Lite Fender Edition and IK Multimedia AmpliTube Fender LE.

You should have received registration cards for both of the third party applications. You do need to register both third party softwares. But they are fully functional "Lite" versions of the software.

Please contact us at 480-596-7195 if you need further assistance with this. Thank you.
