In watching the G-Dec 3 promotional videos I notice the backing tracks seem to all include a rhythm guitar track and minus a lead guitar track. I love playing rhythm. I meet many guitarist who lack creativity in their rhythm playing and can't do much more than strum yet they are excellent at playing single note lines.

Will any provision be made in the backing tracks for practicing rhythm ? Tracks minus rhythm guitar ? The ability to turn off the rhythm track on the live recorded backing ?

Though I think it is going to be a blast to interweave complementary rhythms to the included backing.

So no option for disabling the rhythm track ? G-Dec live tracks only geared toward playing single note lines (Lead Guitar) ?

I don't think you can take the rhythm guitar out of wav files. You can download the MIDI files from the 30 at website and I would think you could delete those. The reason for going to .wav file compatibility is because there are so many wav files out there.

I think skymann is right. You can do it with MIDI files but not with wav/mp3 files. A couple of sights where you can download .mp3 songs without rhythm guitar.

Link above has a lot of free songs in mp3 format.

I also started using the site below over the weekend which allows you to turn instruments or vocals on/off before compiling the mp3 file. It's a pay sight, but the songs seem to be really high quality and customizable.

Hope this helps,
