I play in a small rock band. I like the B-DEC and use the Line Out to go into my Ampeg 410 Combo. That way I don't need any effects pedals. Looks a little funky on stage, but who cares?

Does anyone else use the B-DEC in conjunction with a bigger amp? How and what do you use?
Thanks.

I tried it. It seemed like a great idea but, in practice, it was too noisy to me.
I'm not sure what the problem is exactly. It just seems like either:
A) the B-DEC has a moderate signal-to-noise ratio that just doesn't work well with more amplification, or
B) there are ground loop problems when connecting its output to the input of another amp.

If you can make it work, I'd like to know how you did it.

Try connecting the B-DEC to the input of your effects loop, if your larger amp has one. This might be labeled Send and Return (plug B-DEC into Return) or Preamp Out and Power Amp In (plug B-DEC into Power Amp In). This will bypass the EQ section of the larger amp.

I tried that. It was still too noisy.
If you can somehow get it to work for you, let me know.

I use the B-Dec in this exact same way. When I plugin direct to the board, it works great as a monitor. When I plug into another amp, I have to be mindful of the gain stage that is created when two amplifying sources are connected. I compensate by using a ground loop isolator on the line out. If I don't need to monitor, I use the headphone jack. If you are still having problems, check your cables. After a bad experience, I only use high quality, shielded cables
