Should I buy a G-DEC? I'd appreciate your input.
Thanks,

It really depends on what you want. I have one, I use it for night time practice only. I cannot stand how it sounds without earphones on. It takes some getting used to dialing up the sound you want. I still have not been able to dial in a decent clean tone, the closest I can get is an acoustic tone.

I recommend maybe playing a few different amplifiers before pulling the trigger on this one.

I really like mine, great for practice and a ton of fun just to mess around with.
You do know that the new series of Gdec coming out next month... I would wait and test drive one before buying anything... Just my opinion though

Bill

I use a similar setting based on the acoustic amp:

gain 8.3
vol. 8.0
bass 4.7
mid 5.4
treb. 7.9
comp. off
timb. bright/lite
n.g. off

To my ear this is a fair reproduction of an old Fender Deluxe. it stands up nicely to reverb and/or tremolo without loosing too much tone.

Enjoy,
John.E
