No problem at all. It's 30 solid state watts. My 74 Champs seems louder. The 30 just has a lot more features.

cool, thanks!

so ill bug you guys about how to change the crappy tone presets, etc. once i get the thing...hopefully this weekend - but my gf wants to get it for me for xmas but id love to have it before then to play with it on my time off from work in december!:)

curious, supro, did you not have any suggestions for my 70's clapton tone that i was seeking help on? you seem to have pretty extensive experience with a wide range of amps so i was interested to get your take on it?

thanks!

I never really went after Clapton's tone. I know on his Strat he used to set the pup switch in between I guess it would be setting 2 and 4 on a 5 way switch. My 72 only has a 3 way switch and I balance it in between to get the out of phase sound on it. Clapton gets his sound on most any amp he plays.

On the GDec, youtube has Eric Johnson playing a 30. He still sounds like him. Fender listed the setting and I tried them, but I still sounded like me. :D

I just got the footswitch for the 30. It's pretty nice and real handy for changing tracks and running the phrase sampler. Sweetwater has them for $59 and free shipping.

Nah, I have a 74 SF Champ and I'm real happy with it. I'm kind of like you. More of a purist and don't really like a bunch of effects. I thinking of changing and storing all my presets and just making amp models and possibly just using reverb or echo.
