Is the acoustic amp selection on the G-DEC 30 intended for an acoustic guitar or is it really meant to use to make an electric guitar sound like an acoustic guitar? Does anyone use the G-DEC 30 for their acoustic guitar?
Or do you use an acoustic amp?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I have used the Gdec both ways. Often, I have a Strat plugged into the front and an acoustic 12 string in the back.

There are 2 acoustic settings to work with. In the Timber menu is an acoustic that will make and electric sound more like it has under bridge pickups. In the amp menu, there is an acoustic that is an amplifier emulation.

I use the acoustic setting in the amp menu when playing acoustic.

There are no rules, but things work better this way. The acoustic sounds more full and life like. The electric seams to pch the acoustic amp setting into an ugly broken distortion when playing hard, but works well emulated with the timber control.

I do use a pedal eq with the 12 string to get better tone control and less feed back on stage.
