Dors the ULT-4 come with a cable to connect it to the amp? If not, what do I need?

Thanks - Doug

It includes a very lengthy cable that has "right angle" plugs on each end. If you lose or didn't get the cable, a guitar cable should suffice.

I have a question about this switch since I'm looking at getting 30 in the very near future. From what I've been able to find on it's functions, which is very little, it does'nt sound like this footswitch would help much in the way of live performance. Am I correct about this?

IDK, but I've been performing live ( up to 4 trax ) running the 30 thru a Fender Passport P.A. ( 4 channel ) singing and squeezing in live lead breaks with over 350 classic rock songs for the last 15 months. It's a champ and I can't say enuff great things about it! Rok On

I just ordered the ULT-4 from Sweetwater for $59.99 and free shipping. When I get it I'll report back when I figure it out.

Hey RLee,

Thank you for the endorsement. I'm already wowed by the G-Dec Exec I have, and the 30 is sitting on the floor as we speak. The cover and ULT-4 are on the way. I'll be transferring some of my killer guitar programs from the Exec to this one. and probably write some new ones. I should have it ready to take to Jam Night by Wednesday.

Many Thanks to you,

Harley 8)

Originally from Marion, hows' the weather where you're at? When you're ULT arrives you'll want to begin reading the manual thru to obtain optimal effeciency,.......YEAH RIGHT! left button-tuner access, middle button record/replay,....start dubs,....right button last track restarts. Now, play with tempo reductions to allow "lengthier" dub times. Unreal fun! ( begins to "muddy out" after 6 trax.) rsvp-me -Peace

Is that all that switch does? Sheesh, and I thought it would be something useful, like bypassing effects, or program changes.

I know where Marion is, I used to date a woman there. ( Why are all the pretty ones so neurotic?).
It's been in the low to mid 50's here for the last couple of weeks, but we might be looking at our first snow fall this weekend. Of course you know if you don't like the weather in Ohio....wait five minutes.

Cheers, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

This is not entirely correct. The ULT-4 has 4 modes of operation: Tuner, access to to all three quick access patches, preset up/down start/stop and sampler control. See page 13 of the GDEC-30 Manual for more info.

Don't have a manual?

Thank you Doug,

Now we're getting somewhere. I ordered a footswitch for my 30 that I just picked up last weekend. It still has'nt come in yet, but I'm sure it will have a manual with it. In the meantime, I'm copying the programs I've written in the Exec to the 30 and doing a little bit of fine tuning to them. There is a slight difference in the sounds from the 15 to the 30, not much, but enough that I can hear it. Tweaking these G-Dec's is fun.
Thanks for the reply on this Doug, I was beginning to think that this 30 that I picked up would not be able to be used for live performance, and that's my main reason for picking it up.

The footswitch comes with the cable and the pedal is very usefull for live use you can set up a lead setting and switch up to 4 setting for use when jamming live it helps alot. :D

I does not come with a manual. All the information is in the GDecs manual.
I got my switch from Sweetwater for $59.99, no tax and free shipping.

It's a nicely made switch. Great for stopping and starting dubs as well as changing backing tracks. You can't adjust any parameters on it though.
