The display on my g-dec is so light you can barely read it. I tried adjusting the contrast per the manual and nothing happens. Is there some sort of reset or a different sequence I can try to get the display back ?

G-DEC's display is not set up properly for the unit sitting on the floor with you looking down on it. You'll notice it gets more contrasty and readable viewed more straight on with it elevated up on table.

Oh, ok, it did on my G-DEC 15. I had to either tilt it way back or elevate it a lot to read the display.

Sounds like a wanky LCD on your unit then.

I agree with Maruuk. At home mine sits on to of a book shelf, approximately chest high. The twice I played out with it, I had to set it on a chair leaned way back to read the display even at close range. Of course I'm getting older too. ; )

Maybe there is a business oppertunity for someone: a Gdec holder. It would need to be about 3 feet high and have a 30 degree angle so you are looking straight at the display. A built in mic stand would be handy too.
