I have a B-Dec and a G-Dec. I previously downloaded Songmaker through the Fender website. Just about a year ago. I have version 5.1.0.1. I have since found out that there is a version 5.4.1.1. I guess that you have to have a later version than the one that I have to be able to have the "Transfer Song to Amp" command, because my version does not have it. I have clicked on the "Check for Updates" and it tells me that I am up to date, but this is not true.

I have tried to download a newer version through the Fender G-Dec/B-Dec pages. All this does is take you to a SoundTrek product registration page that after you submit the registration, tells you that info has been sent to your email. But I have yet to receive any info. I have tried this more than once. There is a link to click if you do not receive the download info. I have clicked on that and filled it out a few times and never received a reply. I have also filled out a contact customer support link at the SoundTrek website. No reply.

I am just curious if other people have had similar experiences?

Have Fender and SoundTrek parted ways and SoundTrek is no longer supporting downloads of Jammer Songmaker 5 through the Fender website or do they just have terrible customer support?

Tad_T
I am new to this forum and the G-DEC and just setting out to learn how to get the best from it.
I registered for Songmaker a week ago and was sent a download email link - the file was "songmaker_5.setup.zip" and the actual setup file was
"Install Jammer SongMaker 5.4.1.1.exe"
So ... it worked for me!
Possibly you have a spam filter or ISP account that has blocked the Songmaker download email?
Hope that helps if you haven't already solved the problem.
Ray.

I am glad that it worked for you.

I have checked my filters and there was not a reply there.

Maybe they only allow one download per email address.

I do wish I could update it.

Thanks for the reply.

Might be worth emailing Soundtrek? They could expect you to buy it, though!

Good luck!

Hey Tad_T, I was having the same sort of trouble as you, but today the jammer download worked for me. The link from Fender takes you to the SoundTrek page where you click on the link that says "Click here to download JAMMER SongMaker & 125 free band and drum styles." That takes you to a page where you register, then it sends you an email with a link to the download. I am so glad it finally worked. I guess persistence pays off! Hope it works for you, too.
