I have a G-Dec (15W) and I really love this little amp, except I sometimes have issues with the data wheel where it either skips around when I turn it or I have to turn it a lot to make it move to the next preset. Does anybody else have this issue or know how to fix it? Or maybe I will win the Fender 2009 Kickoff and not have to worry about it?

I have the same problem and came on here looking for an answer as well. Sometimes it's difficult to get to the preset I'm looking for.

It's a problem that's cropped up from time to time. The data wheel is faulty. Take it to an authorized Fender repair place. If it's still under warranty, they may just give you a whole new G-DEC.

I can confirm that the data wheel failure is covered under warranty. My G-Dec 30 had been performing nicely. Had problem with data wheel in the fall, approx 2 yrs old. One click forward would move forward randomly or sometimes backwards.

Anyway, I took it to authorized repair center with my receipt. They had a 3rd party doing their Fender Electronics work, so sent it out. Took 6 weeks, but I got a new G-Dec 30. Also, it was loaded w/ latest system update. I'm hoping they have addressed root cause of the data wheel problem in this new one.

I had the same problem with my G_DEC 15W about a 1 1/2 years ago. I purchased the extended warrenty and they ended up sending me a check for the purchase price of the amp. They supposedly fixed this problem and I bought up to the newer 30W amp and have had it for a year, no problems yet and I hope none in the future. Fender is really good about taking care of people so I have no worries. I like the bigger amp better anyway. 8)

Mine did the same thing. I just sent it back last week. It's covered under warranty, no biggie. I'm starting to miss it.
