Does anyone have a text or pdf file that list all the components for each G-Dec preset? It would sure save a lot of time that I would have to otherwise take to go to each preset and record each variable.

Also, any similar files on the create mode?

Not exactly.

Go to "mygdec.com" and look in the file repository for the Gdec or Gdec30. You will find an excel sheet of patches. It contains all the Gdec patches I could find and conversions for all the Cyber Twin and CyberDeluxe patches I could find.

I haven't gone back to get the presets on either the CyberTwin or the Gdec. Because the Gdec presets can't be over-written, I never bothered. And, I don't have access to a CyberTwin, although I would really like to map the amp library and convert those to Gdec speak. There are some minor differences between the presets for the base Gdec and the Gdec30.

The sheet will at least give you all the parameters you will need to record if you decide to map all the presets.

Thanks for the direction to the Excel document at "mygdec.com", workerbee. While it is not what I was looking for it it will be next in line for attention after I find or list what all the parameters are for the factory presets in my G-Dec 30.

As a comment, you do mean that it is only the Permanent presets that can't be changed, right?

The new amp comes with 2 set of the same presets; one permanent and one user. The user set you can change.

Because the permanent set was always there, I never thought of mapping those.

I'm curious as to why you would want to list the parameters of the factory presets? :?
In any event, if you're determined to do it, what you could do is midi-dump the complete presets .syx file onto your computer. Open it up with the Preset Editor and view each presets parameters, noting the values on the blank page of Workerbee's handy-dandy spreadsheet.
It's easier to view them on your screen (with the spreadsheet open) rather than fiddling with the G-DEC while you're typing in cells.

When you're done, please feel free to upload your hard work to MyGDEC so that others may benefit from the information! :)

The wheels in my brain go round and round....still on this subject....

I also use a Cyber Twin with the optional foot switch. I have programmed the footswitch for the series of user presets that I have tweaked and saved for various songs. When I first opened the Cyber Twin box there was a plastic protected sheet listing each preset's characteritsics such as amp emulation, stack location, effects used, etc that I used to learn about which combination of what I liked or didn't without spending endless hours twiddling nobs.

Having a printed list to remember which of 49 G-Dec 30 presets I would like to tweak and recall via the optional footswitch would save me a truly HUGE amount of time.

And a search of the Fender site links for the G-Dec 30 for a list of this type takes me to a listing for a G-Dec model that is not printable nor copyable. Not much help for my G-Dec 30 presets.

I think I know what you're getting at. When I received my G-DEC 15, It came with all the hang tags and stuff. Over the top of the unit was a cardboard piece with a list of all the presets (see this link: http://www.airportmusic.com/images/jpgs ... resets.jpg). I'm thinking this may be similar to what you're talking about. The G-DEC 30, and the B-DEC did not come with one.

I just uploaded an Excel doc at mygdec.com, in the File Repository- G-DEC 30 Files. It is a preset list like the one in the picture, with an additional column for "Key". It took me less than a half hour to complete.
It may take a day or so to appear on the site, so be patient and keep checking.

Let me know if that will do the job for you, or if you have any problems viewing it.
Enjoy!
