Hey everyone,

I've had a GDEC30 for about a year now, and I'm getting the ULT-4 pedal very soon (probably for Christmas). My question is can the ULT-4 be used in conjunction with other pedals? I.e. a crybaby wah, or a distortion pedal or something...

I currently have no pedals but I'd like to know if the ULT-4 can be used with add'l pedals.

Thanks!

Anyone? I'm mainly interested in using a Wah pedal with the ULT-4 if that's possible, I dont know much about pedals so I hope someone can answer.

Thanks! :)

I can't believe i'm the only person to ever think about using a wah pedal in addition to the ULT-4 Fender pedal!?

I guess i'll have to try it out myself...

The ULT-4 is the footswitch (not a "pedal") used with the GDEC amps. It simply allows you to select functions "hands-free" that the GDEC already has built-in.
An effects pedal usually plugs inline with the input to the amp. They are two totally different type devices!

Okay, that makes sense. I'm very new to the footswitch/pedal world so I wasn't sure. Thanks for clearing that up. So it sounds like if I decide to add a wah pedal I should be able to after-all. Thanks!

Yep! You plug your guitar into the input jack of your effect padal (actually, you can put several effects pedals in series) and then the output of your pedal plugs into your normal input of your amplifier.

Just a caution.... The GDEC footswitch plugs into its own jack labeled in the back panel of your GDEC amp (that's the ONLY place you should plug it in. I say that because it uses a regular cable just like your guitar and could easily be incorrectly plugged in the wrong place (especially if you're not paying attention) and may result in damage.

Enjoy.....
