Group,

I have downloaded some mid 1 songs and converted them to midi 0. Then using the Fender song loader, I downloaded them successfully to my B-Dec, and I believe them to be on the virtual hard drive. There is nothing I can find to indicate they are not.

However, I cannot find how to find them and play them back on my B-Dec.
I suspected I would access them with the Song button, but that only dispays the Song Order, Delete Song, and Mem Usage menus - no songs.
So next, I suspected that I would access them from the Play Mode. I have scrolled through everything there - no songs. When I go to the Songs Mode, it says No Songs.

Can anybody tell be where the downloaded midi songs go and how do I access them?

Maybe I have an issue with my B-Dec.

By the way, I did a factory setting restore, and even the four Song set ups that shipped with the B-Dec are now gone.

Thanks in advance.

Hi David,

On my B-DEC any songs I download go into the S section, so I have the four factory preset songs S00 - S03, and anything I download goes in after that (S04 onwards). You can use "song order" to move things around but essentially that's how it works.

To access them to play I just use the scroll wheel and move through either all the P presets (00-75) or U presets (00-75) until I get to the S presets, then I just scroll to the song I want, press the "start-stop" button, and away I go.

Pressing the "song" button takes me to S00 and I can play that one by pressing the "start-stop" button but I can't see how you change songs from there. Press "exit" then just use the scroll wheel as above.

I guess if you have no songs then the first one you download will go into S00.

What software are you using ? I use Jammer Songmaker and get a "transfer completed" message so I know the song has transferred okay.

Hope this helps ?

Mark,
First of all thanks for the reply.

I finally got it to download. The problem was that when I was doing the firmware upgrade to the processor, I was not completing the third step. The instructions after the first reboot are kind of cryptic, and I was bailing out before it was complete. Afterword, I was able to load songs using the Fender Song Loader without a problem.

I am not very strong in MIDI, so I am not quite up to creating sogs in Jammer yet, but I am looking forward to it.

Again, thanks for the reply.

Mark,

By the way, I had a problem with my account and had to create a new one. This is still David Vitale that is posting.
