I just moved to India and all of the power is 240V through the wall. I bought a reducer from 240V-110V. The amp is 120v-60Hz. The amp cuts off when the voulume is turned past half way. I know I'm not getting the full 120V needed to boost the amp. Any suggestions from those ex-pats overseas or any locals? Most of my musice devices are marked 110-240V but the G-DEC is not. I noticed the fuse is 250V. Does this mean I can plug it straight into the wall with a surge protector?

Please advise...and thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard first of all.

Just in terms of voltage, you could get a stepup transformer to convert to 240V. Probably you could find an adapter intended to let people run UK devices in the US, for example?

A surge protector won`t do it, that just protects electronic equiptment from power surges. I think Miami Mike said it better by suggesting a power convertor of some kind. Try a local music store and ask them what they think is best to use in your country.

If you don`t have local music stores, I`m sure you can find an online supplier for what you need.
