Hi all,

Just got my G-Dec 30 today and so far it is pretty cool. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find the cable that I need to hook it up to my computer?

Thanks in advance.

EM

I'm not positive, but I think it's just a standard MIDI cable with a USB adapter on one end. :?:

From http://www.fender.com/support/downloads.php

The following devices are known to work for any DEC function:

* M-Audio / Midiman 1x1, 2x2, 8x8
* M-Audio Firewire Audiophile
* E-Magic MT4
* Roland Edirol UM-1
* MOTU Fastlane

I had a M1 Uno. It worked fine from my Windows PC but it had problems with my Mac. I suspect a driver problem. Subsequently, I picked up an Edirol UM-1ex. This works fine with both my Mac and PC.

FWIW, I'm using the M-Audio UNO with good results on a G-DEC 15, a G-DEC 30, and a B-DEC. I'm using Macs, a G5 iMac (PPC) and a G4 iBook. Both are running OS 10.4.11.

Check carefully for compatibility
with your computer's operating
system before you buy any
MIDI interface. You may not
need or want the latest thing.

Get USB powered if you can.
Get expandable if you can.
You should have at least XP
on a windows machine, and
some specific version of OS 9.0
for the MAC. You should check.
I'm not sure about computer
hardware issues.

FullCompass.com will supply the
Edirol UM3EX USB Midi interface
for $89.00 +
That is as good as anything
on the approved list and expandable.
I got in a hurry and bought the
M Audio from the local dealer,
for the same money.
