I got a gdec 15 new when they first came out, didn’t play it often but loved it as a practice amp. One day I turn it on and it blows fuses every time. I open it up to see power amp IC with a hole in it, likely caused by the lack of thermal compound between it and the heat sync. Since the hole melted the any identifying marks of the IC I requested a schematic through here and got it but was also reminded of the 5 year warranty. I had forgotten about it since I tend to buy used but much to my surprise ( luck) I had one week still on my warranty. So I go through the motions suggested by fender, take my amp to the long time fender dealer I got it from and……they moved. Drive all the way to their new shop and……they closed. Hurray! I ask fender what to do and by the time I get a reply my warranty has expired. Anyways….I replace the IC, fire it up and as its loading I smell the transformer shorting and shut it down… and yes I did check the diodes around the IC and my solder job was fine. I do fix aviation instrumentation for a living and it would pass FAA service tolerances. In case anyone was going to ask that. Lol. So, since I couldn’t test voltages or nothing I put it aside for another day. So I brought it out this week and take a peak at the transformer and see 6 taps in it? Crap! I Google part # on fenders schematic and the only return I get is a Kholer toilet happens to match that part #. I Know these are “throw away” amps but really l would like to see this thing run again in some form. Does anyone have any idea of the fallowing?
Where could get one, or find the specs on it?
Anybody know the output voltages on each tap? I’m guessing maybe a 12v, 5v, maybe a 3.3V and or something?
I assume its also a DC as well?
Any advice, help, suggestions would be killer. Even at this point if I can’t get the amp working I’d like to see if I can at least pull the DSP/ Screen sections out and maybe rig up a standalone little effects unit and drop it in a enclosure cause I could totally find uses for that when I do sound for shows.
Sorry for the rant and ANY Help is much appreciated
thanks

It's a bit blunt, but I agree with Stratele52.
If it blew the part twice, then something other than that part caused the failure.
If you can't figure it out from the schematic, then it will likely cost you more than the $90 cost of the amp to repair.
