Hi Folks I bought a Fender G-Dec3 Thirty yesterday. To practice together with my Son. I have some questions. Does anyone know where i can get that acoustic book with sd card for the G-Dec3 ? Does anyone know if the Mustang Pedal works with the G.Dec3? Because i can´t find the ULT-4 Pedal anywhere.

Hi Pete,

I think the SD card books are as rare as hen's teeth. Regarding the footswitch, I believe the ULT-4, MS-4, and new MGT-4 (for the new Mustang GT) are all interchangeable as far as basic functionality goes, but the labels are different. For instance a button labeled as doing one thing on the MS-4 will do another on the ULT-4 and your GDEC. Evidence for the interchangeability of the pedals is that Fender currently is offering free magnetic overlays with labels specific to the Mustang GT for folks who have an MS-4 or ULT-4 pedal.

Good luck with your GDEC!

Are these the SD cards you are looking for? Something like this:

I can vouch that you can use the 4-button Mustang footswitch with the G-Dec 3 Thirty but I have not used it with any of the first-generation models. As DieselDon pointed out a few of the settings are different. I made my own cutout that I use if I forget some of the changes.

Now I´ve bought 3 books but on no one was a useable SD Card. Every card has an error. I can´t send them back because i bought used Books.

Hey Pete, have you checked the SD cards in a computer, or only in the G-Dec 3?
It would be nice to determine if the card, or the G-Dec 3 are the issue.

If the card can be read by your computer, you should be able to dup the SD Card as a back up.
If the folders on the card can't be accessed on your computer, then hopefully the G-Dec is OK.

Sorry this doesn't solve the issue, but hopefully it is only bad cards and not an issue with the G-Dec.

Hey Pete,
Which G-Dec books did you purchase?
I have experienced an SD card that went bad "the Doors G-dec play along", now I'm thinking I need to check them all again.
