Hi. I need some help. I bought a Samson MDR1064 mixer to add inputs to my Fender PD-250 Plus. Connecting the XLR outputs on the mixer to the XLR inputs on the Passport causes a serious hiss. No instruments or mics are connected and the phantom power is off. The hiss is less using TRS to TRS, but it is still there. I checked the Passport with a mic and guitar, it's clears as can be. I'm desperate. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

You probably have hiss because the XLR inputs assume you have Mic Level signals, but your mixer has Line Level outputs WHICH IS DRAMATICALLY LOUDER. Push the "Pad" buttons on the Passport for the XLR channels you are connecting to the mixer and the problem should go away.

The 1/4" inputs on the Passport assumes that you have a Line Level signal and not a Mic Level signal. So, there's no hiss. When you push the Pad button, you make the XLR input act just like the 1/4" input.

I hope this helps.
