Good morning everyone, I work for a Museum and we are looking at the Fender Passport P10WE as a means to enhance our tours. We would like to use this to amplify the voice of the two tour guides.

Unfortunately no matter where I search all the descriptions of the P10WE are very vague to say the least.

They mention "high quality system that features wireless operation with the included lavaliere and headset mics!"

Does this mean we can use both at the same time as wireless? I would assume so as it states "lavaliere and headset". It does not say "Lavaliere or headset."
What if we wanted to ditch the headset and use another lavaliere mic?

Or am I reading to much into this and the proper use of grammar, and it only operates ones wireless mic at a time, and they are just explaining that it comes with two options for your one wireless connection?

If the later is the case, can I buy an additional passport hot spot that is used on main device and pair it to the same frequency to achieve the dual wireless functionality or am I just wishing and dreaming.

Thanks for any help or advice you can give. I can not believe there was not a clearer description of this and it's functionality anywhere on the web.

I haven't seen one of these units, but from what I can put together from the owner's manual for the P10W (so far as I can tell, the P10WE is a P10W with the mic kit) they talk about being able to use one mic with several amps, but they don't mention using multiple mics with one amp. I'm suspecting that the reason for this is volume control.

The unit has two volume controls. One is for a 1/4" TS wired input at mic level. The other is for the wireless signal. The volume control for the wireless signal also adjusts the volume for the 1/8" TSR input, apparently intended for plugging in an iPod or its ilk.

So, if one tour guide talks louder or mounts his microphone closer to his mouth than the other, there's no way to balance the sound between the two of them, if they are both using wireless mics (assuming you can find two mics that will use the same frequency as the unit).

One could use a wired mic with a 1/4" plug and the other could use the wireless and it might work for the two of them. Each has a separate volume control. Likely the one carrying the amp would use the wired mic and the other would use the wireless. Otherwise, it does not seem to be built for two people using it together.
