This is now being listed at a few stores. I'm interested in this because it seems perfect for living room jams for my family.

While I play, my young kid has a lot of fun talking into a mic with heavy reverb just for kicks. Toy mics don't do as good of a job, and I'd rather not have to drag out my Cube Street (my battery/backup amp for work) every time.

So I've watched the video and checked out the specs. I'd really like to know a bit more about how it will work with Fuse. Is there basically a G-DEC or Mustang inside of it? Will we be able to look at the user manual?

Thanks for reading.

I find it curious that Fender doesn't seem to mention their whole Passport line on their Web site (except for this forum). I had to look to Google to find anything about it. I looked for the owner's manual, but only found the Fuse manual, which listed the Passport Mini as one of the systems that has Fuse installed.

It looks cute. The vendor I found that sells it talks it up as a miniature PA system, though at 7 watts, I think it's better suited to your mission: To entertain a person with lots of effects and sound options for one instrument and one vocal mic, and maybe an iPod or equivalent. AC or battery power (6 "C" batteries).

I'm a little surprised that they put the Passport name on it, since it's more of a guitar amp than a PA system -- more like the other Mini amps than like any of the Passports. I guess the main difference is that it seems to be aimed at acoustic instruments with a piezo pickup than at electric guitars (though a lot of the effects sound like electric guitar effects -- Use of a flanger on acoustic guitar isn't that common, I don't think).

Anyway, knock yourself out. If you don't get a response here that suits your interest, you might try the generic Fender forum at the top of the list of forums.

Thanks for your reply contra. The Passport line is on the website under amps, once that drops down you have to click the "Passport" tab since it defaults to the "Guitar" amp section.

I found a two-minute NAMM video on youtube where someone mentioned four acoustic guitar presets and four electric guitar presets, but he seemed to just be reading off of the amp labels directly. He then took his acoustic and performed "I Want You Back" solo with a Jackson Five groove, so if nothing else I know that he got the Passport Mini to work his mojo.

Thanks for YOUR reply, for pointing out something I never would have found otherwise. Talk about interface... Sheesh.

Anyway, it's good to see all the different current versions of the Passport now available.

Seems to me the mini passport is same as mini mustang but with much more flexibility: IF can load all mods with fuse. Will there be acoustic mods for the passport and will they work with standard mini mustang? Seems logical to have that, if aimed at acoustic electric crowd. If all other aspects are close, seems the good route to go since it does have that extra channel for mic and all. I could even use a DI box and/or Pandora and have a ball with my guitars that are piezo and magnetic (Ovation VXT, for instance...). I know my mini is plenty loud for what I want.... figures they would come out with this. One more to add to my collection of battery capable amps.... But bravo to Fender for making it!
