So I recently came upon a passport 250 and everything works and sounds fine except after about 10-15 mins of being turned on a high pitched squeal starts seemingly out of nowhere and the pitch starts to descend getting lower and lower , sort of sounds like a bomb is being dropped , until it hits its lowest pitch then POP , and the sound cuts out but the unit is still powered on and it does not light up the protect light. If I turn it off then back on again it will work but only for about a minute or less before the pitch comes back so I think it has something to do with when it gets warmed up. Anyone experienced this before with any other amps or with this unit or might have any clue what could be wrong ?

Sounds like a hardware failure. A failing component is likely heating up too much and is heat sensitive. Since the problem is reproducible and not sporadic, the Fender repair guys should be able to do diagnostics to find out what component needs replacing.
