I want to use 4 Fender passport speakers with my Passport 250. Can I daisy chain 2 speakers together off the plug in the front of speaker?? Run 2 on each side off single plug.
Or should I run each pair off separate plugs (left/Rt) on the amplifier ?? Since there are 2 plugs for left / Rt.
I can cover more distance if I daisy chain 1 speaker to another.
Thank you

I can't find any photos of the Passport 250, so I'm not sure exactly what the connectors are like on the speakers. On my 500 and 300, there is only one 1/4"TS connection on the speaker, so daisy chaining is not really an option without an adapter, and this is not something I'd use an adapter for.

The owner's manual for the 250 says that there's protective circuitry in the 250 that will shut it down before you damage it with the wrong speaker load, so this suggests you can try whatever you like. If it doesn't work, shut it off and try a different configuration.

If it were my unit, I'd probably run four cables from the four speaker jacks in the amp, and if I wanted to run the speakers farther away, I'd buy new, longer cables of high quality. But that's just an opinion.

And I'm curious about where you got the other two speakers.

Yes you are correct there is only 1 female 1/4" plug in front of each speaker.
My idea was to use a y-plug ,a male 1/4" to plug into the speakers and it would have 2 female 1/4" coming out so I could plug a lead into it ,to power that speaker and then with the other female I would run to the other speaker .

But I don't know how 2 -8 ohm speakers in a series adds up ? Does this overload 1 channel?
I guess I would be better off to just use all 4 jacks on front of amplifier and buy more ,longer high quality speaker cables.
