Hi all.
I have Deluxe PD250 Plus Passport unFender.
I'm thinking to sell it and buy the 500 pro friend who has it again.
It is good move? I have read several comments that say the 250 is more powerful than the 500.
Would greatly appreciate your help.
Thanks and sorry for my English

The 250 in the model name PD250 Plus refers to the combined wattage of the two power amps (one for the left side and one for the right). The 500 in the model name PassPort 500 Pro also refers to the combined wattage of the two amps.

I have a 500 and a 300. The 500 is louder. Likely, the 300 is louder than your 250. It takes energy to be loud. Energy is measured in watts.

In particular, the 500 has more bass. Lower notes require more wattage to push them. Basically, the speaker cone has to be pushed farther and slower to play a bass note. It takes watts to do that job. The 500 has a 10" woofer. The 300 has an 8" woofer. I'm not sure about the PD250. The manual doesn't mention speaker size.

There are two different versions of the 500 Pro. The older version has RCA ports for the stereo inputs and outputs. The newer version has 1/8" TRS ports for all the stereo inputs and outputs. All of my experience is with the newer one. I just saw one of the older ones for the first time this week. It wasn't being used. It was just set up, ready to be used.

The older one looked a little more complicated to use. I could be wrong.

Anyway, in my opinion, the 500 is great. You'll have more input channels, and if you have the newer version, you can record directly to USB FLASH drives. The controls are simple and you'll have more volume than you have now with the 250. The sound is crisp and clear.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Someone who has had the 250 and now has 500 and can tell us your opinion?
