Please help.... I need some solid recommendations for at stage monitor and powered sub for my Passport 300 Pro. We run 3 to 4 mics and 2 acoustic guitars through the rig. Can someone give me some specific recommendations for a monitor and sub? Thanks!

I cannot speak with authority in terms of comparative studies. This is the equipment I use:

For monitors, I use a small collection of Mackey SRM 150 powered monitors. The first one connects to the Stereo Out via a cable that has a 1/8" stereo plug on one end and a pair of RCA plugs on the other end (available at any Radio Shack or Crutchfields, etc.). The rest of the monitors daisy-chain with XLR cables.

For sub-woofer, I use a Gemini 15" powered subwoofer. That might be a bit overpowered for a lone Passport 300. They have a 12" version that might suit you well. I use mine with a pair of Passports: one 500 and one 300 connected via stereo-out on the 500 to a stereo channel on the 300. So, the Gemini matches my 800 watts pretty well with its 400 watts, but if you are starting out with 300 watts, maybe the 12" Gemini subwoofer's 300 watts would be plenty.

There are others out there. The SRM 150 patches in easily because it takes stereo input via RCA and combines it to a mono signal for the monitor. Behringer makes a clone of the SRM 150, but I can't recommend it. I've had both, side by side, and the difference in sound quality is stunning. The Mackey costs about $100 more and is more than worth that difference. It is clear, even when cranked loud. The Behringer is not.

This is great, thank you! And I totally forgot you had that nice write up testing both the Mackey and Behringer.... Thanks again for the help! ~ LJL
