My daughter just won a Fender Passport 150 system brand new at an auction. She would like to hook up her Ipod to it. Can this be done and if so what type of cord does she need? :?:

If you look at page 7 in the Owner's Manual at item 5, you'll see that there are four channels on the Passport 150. The first two are mono channels. Those are for microphones or electric guitars or other mono-sound-source instruments.

The last two channels are stereo channels. That doesn't mean one left channel and one right channel. Each of the two stereo channels has a left and a right. The simplest way to connect an iPod is to get a 1/8" stereo patch cord. Any electronics store should have one. It's got 1/8" TRS (Tip, Ring, Sleeve) connectors at both ends.

Stick one end in the iPod's earphone jack. Stick the other end in the 1/8" stereo input jack for either channel 3 or channel 4. The jack is just under the Reverb knob.

It should work fine. I do this all the time with my Passport 500.
