I have a 300 Passport Pro which I love. It does everything I need. I am a stickler for preplanning and want to be prepared for as much as I can when I play out. I have bought new fuses for the Passport and want to compare them to the ones in the unit. I can get the fuse compartment door open but not out of the unit to compare the fuses. (I bought shorts and want to make sure they are the correct size.)

Does anyone know how you get the door off the unit to accomplish this? I don't want to break it off trying.

Thanks.

I don't have mine with me at the moment. I just checked the manual. They don't tell you much about this on page 9. I know that I've pulled this fuse before, so it's not hard.

The tool of choice is a flat-headed screwdriver. I remember it as having a sort of slot there to stick it in and simply pry the plastic fuse-holder cover off. You can do this gently and see it pop loose without having to get heavy-handed enough to break it.

If you have a choice of several screwdrivers, I'd favor the largest one that fits in the slot. A small screwdriver might either bend itself or cut/scratch the plastic cover.

The fuse rarely blows. It will probably last the life of the amp. I had a Passport 500 Pro that died. I suspected that the fuse was the problem, but it wasn't. Fender stood by their product and replaced it without question. The replacement has performed flawlessly for 36 gigs.
