HI - first post here...
A few months ago one of my music staff decided he wanted to use the speaker cabinets from our PD-250 to act as monitors for our bigger system - Literally as I was telling him I didn't think it was a good idea he plugged them in to our 700 watt monitor amp. Someone plugged in a mic that was CRANKED for some reason and I've never heard such a painful sound coming from a speaker. There was literally smoke coming from the PD-250's cabinet.
I took it into a local Fender authorized repair center (Los Angeles area) and they said there was "nothing wrong with it" and did a really poor job of putting it back together - the rubber gasket is out of the track - just a nasty job...
Well, there REALLY IS something amiss with the speaker cabinet - it sounds really distorted compared to the other one. Is there some way to purchase another PD-250 cabinet from the factory? I've been looking used but haven't seen anything local.
Thanks so much -
Larry Becker

Will the warranty apply in this situation?

Hi!
No, I'm sure the warranty won't, or shouldn't, apply... we did a dumb thing and hooked it up to significantly more power than it was designed to handle -- our fault...

Larry, I have a pair of speakers, Extension Speakers, that aren't new, and don't have a warranty, but are available. I am in Baltimore County, MD, just north of Baltimore City. The speakers will ship.
