Just over a year ago, right before the new series was announced, I bought a PD250 with which I am happy.

About six months ago I purchased Fender Passport Auxiliary Speakers, P/N 069-1020, in an on-line auction. I had read about powered speakers.

These are non-powered speakers. These speakers look and feel like a Passport unit without the amplifier weight. My intention in purchasing them was to extend the sound in larger venues and outdoors. I provide sound for business and community events, dinners, networking events and political rallies.

I would like to add these to my PD250 but get the feeling that I need to do something more, possibly pass these on to a P250 owner.

What would I have to do to use these speakers with my unit?

Hi,

One way to make use of your additional speakers would be to go from the Aux Send of the PD-250 into a stereo amp that connects to your speakers.

Thanks,
Ken

Thank you, Ken.

I might do as well to sell these off to someone with a P250 and purchase another unit that can reach out and touch my audiences.

By the by, last January I used the PD 250 for what what I thought was a fund-raiser and bull roast. During the event the hosts changed up and wanted a dance party with hip-hop music that I did not have. There were 1024 guests at tables of ten guests per table.

I walked the room before the event and the folks running the gaming wheels on the perimeter told me the music was too loud. During the event, people at the farthest tables from the speakers complained that the music was too quiet - they couldn't feel it the way they wanted too.

I withdrew my offer to do their event next January.

Two weeks later, with the music they wanted in hand, another room with 325 souls in a room for 700, and requests for the same music. They have asked me back for a repeat fundraiser.

My PD250 replaced a P150 which i sold to a camera club for their semi-annual juried contests.
