Hello guys,

Finally bought FP-300, tested it yesterday and the quality was surprisingly good. :)

I have a macbook pro and I want to listen songs from it and also record the jamming with it in garage band. How do I do it?

What's the best method? Stereo port or channel 5 or 6 input???

Let me know.

Hi,

If you want to record with your MBP using Garageband or any other recording software then yes, an easy way would be to go from the stereo out of the 300 Pro into the MBP inputs.

If you want to play music from your MBP through the 300 Pro, then yes simply connect the headphone output to the 1/8" jack of channel 5 or 6.

I would recommend an external audio interface to be honest. It will most likely give you better playback and recording capability than the internal MBP soundcard.

Hope this helps!

Ken

Thanks Ken for taking time to reply.

I'm currently procuring cables and mics required for our group, but before that I would like to know if recording from the stereo output, will garageband record it as Left and right channel or just a single track...??? I'm trying to learn things so not sure if this is a correct question, please bear it.

Your advise for audio interface for recording? I just want to record the output of the FP-300 and it is not a problem if it is just a stereo.
