Hello Ken,

I have the Fender Pro 300.

I would like to play a guitar and bass through the PA, what would be the best way to set this up. Would I need accessories ?.

Is it possible to connect a CD player into the PA to play backing tracks.

Thank you,
Ian

Hi Ian,

If you want to go directly into the Passport you should get a cheap DI box and plug your bass and guitar into the DI Box then go from the XLR output of your DI box into the XLR input of the Passport.

If you want distortion etc. you will need an amp of some sort that has a mono or stereo line output and go from that into the Passport.

Hope this helps.

Ken

Hi Ken,

Any recommendations on a DI Box, brand, model # etc.

Thanks for your prompt reply to previous enquiry.

Well, since I am working for Fender it makes it a little hard for me to suggest any specific brand.

One of our own brands, Groove Tubes, has a DI box, but I am not sure if you can still get it to be honest.

There are various other brands, some of which cost as little as $30 or so for a passive DI box. It doesn't have to be a very expensive one to do the job.

I hope this helps to narrow it down a little.

Ken

Hi Ken,

Your info is greatly appreciated. I was happy to hear your unbiased opinion on DI Boxes and not just centering on a Fender product.

Customer service with honesty such as you provide, goes a long way.
Thank you for your product support.
