Hi all first post here and I have a slight problem.

The volume seems to fade in and out and I just wanted to eliminate human error before I send it to get repaired.
Is there something obvious that I could've missed?
Thanks in advance for any advice

Hi,

Could you please explain what you are doing when your 500 Pro is fading in and out? I mean for example are you playing music or vocals through it, through what channel, what are your setting, are you using the 1/4" jack or XLR? Have you checked your cables, connections, etc.?

Since the unit shouldn't fade in/out during normal operation I think that, unfortunately, you have a faulty unit. My apologies for that! If that is the case then please contact your dealer or our customer support department and return it for a replacement.

I would still like to know what specifically you're doing for the unit to fade in and out since I have not heard of this issue before. I really appreciate it and my apologies for any inconvenience caused!

Thanks,
Ken

Hi Ken,
thanks for the quick response.I've had it for a while so it's not a new unit as such,it's a problem that has developed over some time.

I'll get the settings/exactly what process I'm going through and get back to you.
Thanks again,
David

Hi David,

Thanks for the reply. OK, since you had the unit for some time and it just developed I assume that something got damaged in the unit. Please contact our customer support and I am sure they will help you out. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I would still like to know what you use the 500 Pro for and what your typical setup is/was.

I am sure we will get it resolved for you.

Again, I am very sorry for the inconvenience.

Regards,
Ken

Hi David,

Btw, is this a Passport 500 Pro or the older PD-500? I am wondering, since you said you had it for a while.

Here's the contact info to our Consumer Relations department:

Phone: 480-596-7195

email: consumerrelations@fender.com

Please contact them and they will guide you towards a service center for evaluation of the unit.

Thanks,
Ken
