Hi, I have recently bought the passport pro 500 and inserted a pen drive into the slot and the play button and two directional buttons started flashing non stop, and the machine does not allow us to do anything in terms of the pen drive. Please help. Has anyone else had this problem?

Hi,

This is the error code for a "Browsing Error". Have you tried reformatting the flash drive? Also, is the drive being recognized by a computer? Do you have a different flash drive that you can try? Lastly, what brand and model is the flash drive?

Thanks,
Ken

Dear Ken, thank you for responding so quickly. The pen drive we were trying to use is the sound technician's and he is out of contact until Saturday night so I can't answer your questions about the drive. We will be using the machine on Saturday night and we'll try another pen drive. If the problem persists, I will contact you for other possible solutions.

Thanks again.

Hi,

Yes, please try to simply reformat the flash drive according to the manual and see if the 500 Pro will read the drive then. Please be aware that reformatting the drive will erase everything on it.

if that doesn't do the trick please let me know. At this point we have not heard of any incompatible flash drive (except older ones that do not meet our minimum speed requirement as described in the manual).

If the flash drive meets the min requirements, and if formatting it doesn't help and if a computer can read that drive then we may have a different issue.

Please try the suggested options above and let me know.

Thanks,
Ken
