Hi,

What Passport unit is it? Do you still have warranty on it?

Please contact our customer support and I am sure they will be able to help you out.

Thanks,
Ken

Are you in the US? If so the Passport products have a 5 year warranty, and if you have a PD-500 it should still be covered since it came out some time around 2006. Please contact our customer service, they will be able to help you out.

Hope this helps!

Ken

Hi yes in your case you could use an external power amp with the PD-500. You will need two Y-cables that have a 1/4" TRS connection on one end and to 1/4" TS connections on the other. Connect the TRS connector to the Power Amp Insert jack, and the connect the Send portion of the TS jack to the input of your power amp. Do this for the Left and Right channel.

Hope this helps!

Ken
