Just bought a Passport 500 and noticed that there is no right/left speaker controls, no balance, no Pan.

So far I like everything but this. Is there any exernal solution anyone is aware of?

Thanks

Hi Kevin,

Yes, we removed the pan and balance controls since we wanted to simplify the layout, make the product easier to use and most people in our survey weren't using these controls. You do have two stereo inputs. If you need to balance something then maybe a small mixer with balance controls that goes into the stereo inputs would help you do what you would like to do.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
Ken

My setup is mainly in small venues were you can't have speaker placement equal distance from the listener.

Therefore you need to be able to balance the speaker outputs. The speakers output the same volume on the mono inputs.

Thanks
Kevin

Found out I can use the pre-out to a mixer then back to amp in to control the speaker volume.

Kevin,

Another good way to use the pre-amp out/power amp in. Great solution! :)

What do the left and right labels under the pre out/power amp in jacks mean?

Left and right speaker channels. You need to buy a stereo cable that splits.
One will be send the other return (Rt channel), send/return (left channel)
