Hi,

If I understand you correctly you bought a RCA to RCA cable and got an RCA to 1/4" adapter, correct? You're plugging the RCA connection on the sub into the Left filtered Line In and the 1/4" into the sub out of the 500 Pro? I was looking at the Polk Audio manual and I am not sure if the power switch can be switched between Auto and On or if it always turns automatically on when it senses a signal. Did you verify that the subwoofer works otherwise? When you plug the connector into the sub out on the 500 Pro, can you hear that the bass gets less in the speaker output of the 500 Pro, meaning the built-in high pass filter turns on?

The tip on the sub out jack passes the signal. As long as that gets to the subwoofer it should work.

Would you mind giving me your email address? I will contact you and we will figure this out.

Thanks,
Ken

Hi,

I just resent the email again. It will say from "Kenneth Porter" but the subject line will say Passport 500 Pro - FENDER. Please let me know if you get it.

I am sure we can work this out once you can answer some questions for me to give me some more detail.

Thanks and my apologies for the inconvenience.

Ken

All the best,
