Hello I have a Passport 250 and the protect light is on.

Upon taking the unit apart I noticed that under the power supply there is slots for two fuses. ( But no fuse was there) Do I need to buy two fuses and install them? If so what amps and volts should they be, I looked at the manual but it says T4A 250v, which is a tube fuse. These two slots are for the plug in, same as your car fuses. On the back of the unit it calls for T6 3A 250v, which is also tube fuses. My question is where are these 3 tube fuses it calls for and do I need to install two more for 5 in all.

Thank you for your time.

Trent,

If the protect light comes on there is something else wrong with the unit and you will need to call customer support or drop the unit off at an authorized service center. If a fuse was blown, the protect light would not come on.

Please contact our customer support for help.

Thanks,
Ken

Just got a new Passport PD-250+ for my son. Seems to be a great portable unit but it did frustrate us to begin with. The fuse that came in the unit was blown and there was not a spare? Anyway i have a 5A fuse in it and it is working well but I can not find the T6.3A 250v fuse anywhere. Does anyone know of a domestic supplier I can order these from? Does fender sell them? Thanks.
