Hello,
We have the PD 250 and I have a question about input selections. The question I have is can I input my keyboard into one of the two stereo inputs, or do I have to put them into one of the 4 line input ports? If I do plug in the keyboard into one of those stereo ports, (x and z in the manual), will I do any damage to the amp or the keyboard? Will that work?

Thanks,

Ron

Hello? Is this thing on?? :) Does anybody know? Am I just being dumb here? I am a drummer who has been handed the sound stuff for now, and I am trying to figure this out. Thanks

Sure but regardless where you plug in, I would be very careful with plugging in any keys or synths. I'm not a tech but I would be concerned with heavy duty low end.

Hi Ron,

Yes, you can use either input, the stereo line inputs or the mono line inputs. However, if you use the stereo input please make sure to use a Y-cable that has a stereo TRS plug on one end (which plugs into the Passport stereo channel input) and two mono TS connectors on the other end (which plugs into the outputs of your keyboard.)

When using the mono line inputs you can use a normal instrument cable from your keyboard to the inputs of the PD-250. If you want to use left and right please make sure to use 2-mono channels and pan one to the left and the other to the right on your Passport.

You won't damage anything since they're line level inputs.

Hope this helps.

Ken

Thanks Ken,

It helps a bunch. I thought that I could use them that way, but I wanted to know if I was going to damage anything.

Thanks again,

Ron
