No, not a Fender, but fascinating just the same. Here's a link to a thread to what has every appearance to be the Hiwatt head that the Ox used at the Live at Leeds concert. There are photos and lots of well informed commentary. Seems to be totally legit, and may be up for sale soon. Thought someone here might be interested.

That's pretty cool. 8) I love that album, and yes, have listened to it panned to the bass side. :P I did manage to see them live in 1989 for their 25th anniversary tour. The Ox was still around, but sadly Moon the Loon was no longer with us. Still, a great concert. I was in nose bleed seats, but at least was able to go.

I know this is a Fender board, but Hiwatts have been on my GAS list for years, but I can't afford them. Maybe someday. Besides, there's no reason anyone can't have more than one brand of amp, anyway. It's not like your married to the friggin' things and are supposed to be monogamist to them. :P

For someone that's a true collector and can afford to follow up, I think this head is something very special and worthy of all due consideration. 8)

Yeah, I'd say so.

There are some gut shots of an almost identical one on the bench at Champ Electronics in England.

I've been to that website before. It was linked from the vintage Hofner site. http://www.vintagehofner.co.uk/ That's a pretty cool site if you are into early-mid 60's gear from the UK.

Yeah, I've gone through the whole site a couple of times.
