I'll take a pass on that one. But I was watching Back To The Future before. Funny how TV works like that.

It's hard to decide which channel I like better on the Bassman 500. Both the Vintage, and the Overdrive channels are very well designed.

You use much distortion?

No, not at all. The Vintage channel works well for me. It has a nice deep, clear bottom to it. My Jazzes sound really good through it. The SG Std. didn't sound so well through it though. The Gibson is a goner. It actually sounded to deep, almost muddy at the lower volumes I'm playing at. At higher volumes, it would've been better.

Yeah, I had a little issue with that with low volume and my 18" speaker at one point until I cranked the mid and treble on the Orange head. Now, it's not too bad.

That 18"er is a big one get going. But they do push a lot of air. Your Orange Terror is right on.

I'd like to try other basses through it besides the Schecter Jazz. I have got around to doing so yet. For example, now that I seemed to have got the Squier Jazz in a playable state by filing down those fret ends (which by the way, was a huge pain in the arse to do, but I did it) and with a lower action and lighter gauge strings, that's ready to rock and roll (not the full auto kind though, unfortunately :P .) I have a feeling that the Squier will sound a lot different than the Schecter, probably more punch to it.

It will be interesting to see what runs through it the best.

Yeah, I do have a few options, even though some need some repair. I just haven't had the time and/or the funds to do that yet, unfortunately.

I have this buzz on the A string, open or up the frets on my Peavey Zodiac bass that I can't figure out why it's doing that and no where else on the neck. I'd like to deal with that, since that bass really plays nice. It kind of reminds me of an old school 50's P-Bass, but with a P and J pick up configuration. It's a little heavy, but that gives it some sustain and beefiness to it. I actually like the feel of it over the Schecter.

I just hope the truss rod isn't broken, or something like that to where it's totally screwed up and can't be fixed. I haven't tried playing through the amp, though, and seeing if the buzz picks up through that, or sounds wonky.

I've noticed on a couple of prior basses, for whatever reason, some slight issues with the A string only.

Yeah, it's strange. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it sorted.

Here's Mel Brown playing a Precision through a Bassman 500 and Bassman Pro 410 Neo cab.
