Probably not. You know we have taken over this topic. I'm thinking I'll open a new Bassman 500 topic.

It seems like you might be the only person around that has a Bassman 500. I think anyone else that has posted in this thread hasn't been around in ages. Then again, the bass forum hasn't been what I'd call a hot spot for activity in the past couple of years to being with. :P

The All New; Paul & Mr. Nylon's Fender Bass Amp Corner. You may be right about my Bassman 500 being about the only one around in these parts of the world. Oh well.

It's like we're the last holdouts in some ghost town. :P

Yeah, I remember a lot more people used to hang out around here, though.

The Bassman 500 is going to be putting out 500 watts, @ 4 ohms, perched on top of an Ampeg SVT-212AV in a couple of days.

You know you did that the last time you had this amp. :P Well, at least you'll have double the speakers to play with.

Actually the last SVT-212AV I had was with a Super Bassman. This cab sounds good with 500 watts through it @ 4 ohms. The Super Bassman was 300 watts at 4 ohms.

Oh yeah, I thought you had another Bassman 500 with that. They look a like, so that's probably why I thought that, and you did have the 500 before the 300, I think.

The Bassman 500 I had was on top of a 115 Neo, then a 410 Neo. It was messing up, that's when I changed out to the Super Bassman to be on the 410 Neo.

I didn't have too much time after I got the Ampeg home today to play. But I was able to play Black Sabbath's, "Into The Void". The 2X12 cab has a great punch that I like without letting off any bass settings from the head. 2X12 Cabs are nice.

Yeah, I remember that. You were having problems with the first 500 you had.
