Very true, but that's what .223 Remington is for.

Yeah, I think he's safe this year. I believe he predicted an early spring. :P It actually has been in the 40's and even 50 degrees the other day. The strange thing that there's still patches of snow (usually on angles, going into ditches or slopes) that still haven't melted. Maybe the way they are compacted there is keeping them like that.

Yeah, that was weird the other day. It was raining all day and the temp was mid 40's, or around there, then I woke up to about 5 inches of snow. It was wet and heavy and plastered all over the place. I guess Monday or Tuesday we are supposed to get some more and low temperatures around 12 or 14 degrees. Here I was thinking we'd actually get a mild winter for a change and February decided to be a $@!&*. :P

I remember when I was young up north, February was usually the roughest winter month. Utica, NY was a kicker in the foot hills.

Now they're saying it's going to be temperatures around 0 or -5 degrees. You know that's going to be friggin' cold. That's something you won't see in Florida, that's for sure. :P I do remember when it snowed there, though. It was when I first moved down there as a kid. That was strange.

That was the day before Jimmy Carter's inauguration for President. Hell froze over.

Yeah, I remember him and the whole Iran hostage crisis. I was actually alive when Nixon was president and of course you're favorite Southeast Asian vacation was still going on. I had no clue about that at the time, but my girlfriend remembers seeing that on TV news, interrupting her cartoons and scaring her. She is five years older than me, so she was around during the Tet Offensive and all of that and she does remember even being an infant.

My wife, and myself, went to see David Fry the night Nixon resigned from office. What an event that was.

Yeah, I don't remember it, though. :P I was 3 years old in December of that year, so there you go.

Hi , I am looking for a new head.
How is the reliability of the amp?

500/800

The 500 as been out for sometimes, any issues?

The amp will be used twice a week plus for 3-4 gigs per year.
I have narrowed my choice to the bassman serie and the boogie D800 plus

current cabs 2x rumble 410v3

thanks

The Bassman 500 is turning out to be a pretty decent head. I pared my up with a Bassman 115 Neo cab.

How does it sound in comparison to the Rumble 500? It has the preamp tubes, doesn't it? It's been a while since I looked at the specs on those things.

It has the basic setup as the Super Bassman, minus the six power tubes. It does have 2 x 12AX7 preamp tubes. Super Bassman has a total of four preamp tubes.

I feel like the Bassman 500, has a bit more deep bottom to it, than the Rumble 500 has. They're pretty similar though. I do have to be honest, I like the old style Bassman head configuration, better than the newer style Rumble head. Here again, old habits die hard. It just looks more traditional Fender Bassman to me.
