I didn't have too much time after I got it home. But,….. I did run the Precision through it to get some settings going on the head. It was at a low volume for now. It sounds very good with the horn turned off. I like the old style looks of it too. A nice fit in the back seat of a Corolla S too.

I'm glad I went for the Bassman head, and cab. A nice low, clean, smooth sound. there's a lot of good amps on the market, I just went with the Fender.

Yeah, as long as it doesn't have that issue, then everything should be pretty square. 8)

I'm using the loaner head till mine shows up. The 4003, and the AC Jazz played through the Bassman today. The Bassman really gave me more of the 4003's cleaner sounds. Readjusted a couple of settings, and it was right there. The AC Jazz sounded as good as I thought it would, fairly close to the settings I had for the Precision.

You Betcha'! I've been playing through the Overdrive more than the Vintage Channel. It's been giving me some very pronounced bass tones. The gain has a good push for both the 4003, and the Precision. Blue Cheer songs never sounded so good since the old Marshalls were used in 1968.

I think Dickie Peterson used a P Bass, didn't he? Either that, or a Jazz, I forgot which.

Dickie used a Jazz. And his Marshall's were very loud!

When ever I watch the video for, or listen to "Summertime Blues," I think of pure volume. 8) That song can never be loud enough.

I wonder how many people have had any experience with the Bassman 500 so far? I haven't really looked into it, but I guess if anywhere they'd probably post about it over at TB.

Yeah,……. that may be the best place for cross talk about it.
