Not tired of the Ampeg, more like I liked the Bassman 500 a lot. I just decided I'd like to get another one that hopefully doesn't have the issue of the increasing volume at power up. I think the Bassman 500 is a good amp. The 500 watts @4 ohms, Or the 350 watts @8 ohms will work for me. The Ampeg's 1,000 watts @4 ohms is nice, but i can get along without it.

That's true. It's not like 500 watts is exactly wimpy. With the Orange 1000 watt I have, I have to keep the volume on that thing almost to nothing because it gets pretty loud for that room I play in. I don't know how it would be bigger rooms and all, yet. I'll probably have to turn it up a little, I'm sure. I also have two cabs going with the 18" and the 2x10" Carvins. Well, I will as soon as I get that replacement 8 ohm one for the 18" cab.

Getting back to the Fender side of things, I might actually use the Rumble 350 combo for that radio show coming up instead of the Orange. I won't need some big stack there, and it might be easier to haul that instead of the Orange head and that 2x10" cab. Although, the head is real easy to carry with the bag, so it might not make a difference. I'll have to play it by ear, because sometimes the Rumble doesn't play nice with the Schecter J Bass, tone wise. I do have that EQ pedal, though.

I'm doing the switch out of the Ampeg for the Bassman 500. It's in the works now.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to this Bassman 500 working out. I'll be using a loaner until Fender ships more new ones out.

The deal got a bit better. The Bassman 500 is going to be sitting on a Fender Bassman 115 Neo cab. I tried the head through one. They did a good deal on the 410 cab. so it's going to be a Fender Bassman rig. I should have the Fender Bassman 115 Neo cab on Tuesday.

Cool deal. 8) That sounds like a pretty decent rig.

Yep. It should be a real cranker. The cab should be in tomorrow, Tuesday morning.
