I'm looking for any documentation regarding the rear switches/jacks on the back of a 64-67 Bassman. It's been many years since I used this amp and I need a refresher on the power/standby and ground switches. - TY Bill

You always want to power up or down on standby. Wait a good minute of two before going off standby to play. Same thing in reverse. Go to standby and wait a few minutes before shutting down.

Ground switch just shifts polarity. You just pick the position that doesn't hum or has the least hum.

You know if its been that long since you've used that amp, you would be well advised to take it to a qualified tube amp tech for a gentle controlled first power up as you could really damage an old amp by just tossing full power to it after many dorment years. You'll also want a thorough check up. You may need some new caps or tubes or joints resoldered. That's nothing to fool around with if you don't know what you're doing.

Thank you linnin! Agreed, it's been a long time since it's been fired up and I would like to have a specialist go over it. I'm a tech by trade and know enough to be dangerous but I haven't had the cover off the amp in 20 years.
