I currently own a Rumble 350 head and I really like it. I use it for gigs and practice all the time. But GAS for a new Rumble 200 combo has gotten to me. My question is this.

Would pairing my 350 with a new Rumble115 cab be a better option then getting the combo? Is the new head, weather combo or not, better then the old 350?

Excellent question, Youngspanion, that only you can truely answer. Are you happy with the fully parametric/sweepable mids of the Rumble 350? Do you like the Rumble 200's 4 band EQ better? There's your real answer right there.

As for the diferences in 15's: the 15" Eminence (made in china) woofers + tweets in both Rumble 200 combo and the Rumble 115 cab are identical. The Rumble 115 is a better cabinet design and from what I understand comes lined with a fiber damping material of some sort (unknown). The combo does not, and is naked inside.

The Rumble 350 head puts out 222 watts into 8 ohms. The Rumble 200 combo puts out 140 watts into 8 ohms. Also down the road a bit add a Rumble 115 cab. Rumble 350 head puts out a full 370 watts into a 4 ohm load vs a full 200 watts.

Try on a Rumble 200 combo for size. If you like it better, then you like it better, so keep it.

What cab or cabs are you running with your Rumble 350 now?

Good advice Linnin. Thanks. Right now I am running the 350 through two TC Electronic RS210 cabs for most gigs and just one of them while at home fooling around and practicing. I did not know that the Rumble 350 pumps out 370 into 4 ohms. Just a tad more then is assumed :)

I don't know how much of a difference each head offers in tone but I do recall being excited by the sweepable mids that the 350 had when I purchased it. Its really what sold me to start with. Then of course the unbelievable price it was on sale for. The over drive is cool too but I don't use it much except when playing around.

Hello,

my first post here, and question:
can this amp (350 head) play without cabinet and with headphones only?
I'm really hot for this amp so this is my only concern, because I like idea to practice and don't bothering others when I'm at home. And leave cabinet in the rehearsal room, so I can go with my bass on one shoulder and amp on another

Cheers!

I own one and, yes you can just use headphones without a speaker plugged in. Sounds very good with average decent headphones.
